found out that my rear upper control arms are faulty are they easy to replace had a quick look and it looks like you need a special socket to get them off or is it just as easy to take it in to a garage i can do some-things on cars but my skills are limited not quite mechanical minded also money is quite tight at the mo if anyone can help!!!!!!!!!! i would be greatful thanks people

First what car do you have?

And I'm assuming you mean the rose bushes they need a special socket to remove how badly worn are they do they make a noise when driving ?

If you can I'd get a price from a garage to fit them and shop around on ebay for a set to fit new of coarse

You can buy the complete control arm assembly on e-bay for good prices.
No special removal tools needed as the bushes are included.

That makes the job a lot easier, but it's still a few hours of heavy labour.

Might be easier to get a local garage to change them, if you buy the control arms the cost should be greatly reduced due to reduced labour.
