Default "Check Safeguard" Message

This message pops up on my main screen. What does it mean? I suppose it's alarm related.

Vectra C 2.2DTI 2003.

I've not seen that message before!

I'll have a look on my software for you later on and see if I can find it out for you.

I know its an old post but, Check Safeguard is Alarm Associated, more commonly seen on the Estates, usually one of the rear side windows, the Alarm tracks are very thin and can break thus bringing up the message, the quick fix is disconnect the wiring on the side windows and link them together to by pass the window, the rear of the car is still protected by the ultra sonics.

On the Vec C Hatch, check the rear windscreen, the connectors for the rear window demister can work loose and throw up the message, simple check, does the rear demister still work?
