Default RAIDATOR TEMP SENSOR 2.2 sri

Hi all having a few problems with my car after getting stuck in traffic the car popped a hose and lost all its coolant on restarting it would only run on 3 cyclinders after much potching about it turns out that the coil pack had failed , Ive now got this sorted but the fans stopped working Im pritty sure its the engine temp sensore, for the moment Ive by passed it by putting in a switch to control the fan as I cant locate the sensore but now the engine managment light has come on. would by passing the temp sensore cause this or has something else gone wrong

So what id like to no is

1. where is the temp sensore that controles the fan

2. have I realy killed it by fitting a switch to controle the fan

and will the manegment light go off when its fixed

sorry for the long post just wanted to tell you every thing thats gone on

1. Temp switch is on the drivers side of the radiator behind the head light panel when mine went I had to remove the bumper to drop the radiators to gain access as its in a awkward postion

2. Tech 2 would be best to check what has caused the light to come on

As long as the engine has no overheated you should be fine. Has it hit the red line on the temperature gauge at any point?

What hose failed?
