Default HT Leads

Came across these

Vauxhall Vectra,2.5, V6 Formula Power10mm Lead sets. | eBay

Replacing the Bosch + 4's and using the NGK twin prong's + these leads would I notice an improvement, do you think?

It would seem from the advert that VVOC customer's are happy, and last I knew, Jimbob's V6 was a bit of a beast. So at that price its worth a try. I'm sure they'd be perfect for the job on your car.

If I doubt, Magnecor KV85 or R100 racing leads are expensive, but among the best you can buy.

it ticked over lower? An engine with a target rpm ticked over lower? Sounds like either placebo effect or a negative mod.

Did they fit uprated leads on facelift GSi 2.5's?

I can understand service replacement, but I find it hard to justify good money on what is basically a std road car, ok leads are effected by the heat etc.

But then again can you compare amplifier to loudspeakers cabling and the thicker cable the less resistance and the sound does have better qualities...depth...imagery etc
with
7mm to 10mm thicker screening of the more expensive ht leads?

Just a thought

Prob a placebo effect on the tickover the need just seemed lower through the range 50-70. Will do a comparision with a dig tacho before and after I fit the leads

I'm going to be boring here and just say that I'd just fit genuine leads. I was tempted at the Magnecor KV85 leads at a few points, but the GM leads are more than capable for the power you can throw at the V6s when NA tuned.

I must be an old fud by car modding standards these days!

My opinion is if the 200bhp ish GSi's where doing ok on standard leads, then it stands to reason you wont go far wrong on GM parts.

I must be a right miserable guy lol. Thank god for coil on plug.
