Hi all, just had this vectra over 1 week, yesterday i noticed when i left work that it was giving an ever so slight missfire when driving it easy and then the orange engine symbol has appeared on dashboard and has remained on ever since, i've tried to do the pedal trick that i've read up on here but i don't get any error codes flashing from the dash?

the orange abs/tc lights have been on since i bought the car, that's why the guy knocked a few 100 of his price so i don't think that's related as i've notice the reluctor ring is broken on the n/s outer cv joint but am unsure if that's what has thrown the engine light on, seems to rrev out fine so i know i'm not in limp mode yet, lol

any ideas appreciated before i go buy one of these tech2 usb cables of ebay, thanks..

the opcom cable is invaluable! A must have for any vectra owner who can interpret what its actually saying. I wouldn't hold back on that investment.

The ABS and TC will be tied to the broken wheel signal ring. But the speedo should also be down too, if its the NSF thats gone.

Re: missfire, you need a fault code reader basically. paperclip wont work on z22 management.

tnx again, guy at z22se reckons it may be the egr valve, blanking plate 'n' cheater off the wages tomorrow then, see if it helps..
