Default Have had the vec dyno'd

As a baserun before I start changing cams, and playing with exhausts.

Spec:
2001 vectra B 2.6 CDX
Totally standard engine wise,
Has straight through centre exhaust and irmscher letter box, back box.
Induction totally standard routing, and paper filter element.

Fueling is totally shocking, rich all the way through (which holds power down) and goes mega rich toward the end of the run (high revs).
Torque curve (and resultant power curve) is up and down due to fueling. I know the lambda's are A OK as I've watched them on the scope.

Made 179.4 BHP at approx 5600rpm
and 198Nm at approx 3100rpm

Graphs below

Very happy with that BHP figure, so in the coming weeks I will be fitting the G cams, removing manifold cats, 3.0 inlet divider, little bit of matching up. Maybe ditch main cat too, and playing with a ram air scoop - sadly that dyno centre cannot do ram-air simulation though, so that would have to be a different dyno to see whether ram air is any good.

Whoops, I am a dope, torque reading is given in Ft lbs, not Nm, actual Nm figure is 268Nm.

didn't think 198 sounded right lol

just been researching piggy back management, need to address that fueling curve - I'm not reading too much into the fueling at the moment; those afr readings where taken at the exhaust outlet, so gasses have been through two cats greatly reducing accuracy.

Next time - once I've done the mods, I will be getting the lambda screwed into the post cat boss on bank 2 (cats will be gone by then), I will be screwing my wideband sensor and controller into post cat on bank 1 just for reference, and taking the laptop and doing a live datalog using opcom.

Have found a fairly cheap piggy back management from the same place I bought my wideband controller. Can't wait to get it back on.

Very true... Time will tell as to whether I regret it due to the 2.6. catalyst syndrome.... The last 2.6 I got away with it. haha.

Its certainly different going from a 1.4 16v to the 2.6 24v, I've missed the sound too.
