Default Electric windows problem

Hi all

the front windows in my vec have decided to start playing up. Basically the windows are always live. The orange lights on the switches stay on permanently, even when you open and shut the door and lock with the fob. Surely they should switch off and become inactive. Just wondered what you reckon the cause could be.

my first port of call would be to replace the multi-timer unit in the fusebox.

Hi all. Replaced my multitimer today, still got the same problem. Think the next step will be the door switch. Finally fixed my indicator stalk as that was throwing my main beam on every time I indicated :-P. And no Steve I am not selling it. Unless someone offers me a very tasty 2.5 for the right price.

next I would borrow a friends switches, particularly the passenger one, and if that didn't work I would then try the central locking/ alarm unit from another car and lock with the key in the door.
