Cheers Matt,
I'll give the Roose stuff a miss as I did try their Plenum hoses before via LMFVauxhall, they discoloured and bubbled, after a months use! I returned so they could check and apparently there was a fault in that particular batch, so once bitten twice shy.

Decide to clean up rather than paint the Plenums.

Read that I can use Gunk, Carb-cleaner or halfords in the bike section and there's some stuff called muk-off. obviously I would remove them.

Also I read somewhere that removing the bonnet carpet will help keep the plenums clean, the engine will not be mufffled and help with air flow.

Any thoughts

i always remove mine only down side is vaux where cheap and didnt paint under the bonnet fully on every car some are some arent but benifits increase in noise (induction) and helps the car to run cooler as well if ure is the un[painted center you can buy reflrctive/mirror film to cover it and it makes the bay look cleaner

Thanks Matt I used the reflective film by the air intake, so I'll see if that guy on Ebay still has some.

Edit yes he has loads, white spirit to clean I imagine.

Just checked and it looks finished under the blanket. Roughly 49"(125cm) x 33"(84cm) so I can buy that reflective stuff for under a tenner.

Might be easy to fit a couple of bonnet vents, later on
