ive got a set of feston led blue and white bulbs to go in the vec fitted 2 blue ones in the map reading lights doing the kerb lights today possibly if i get of jury service early my question is . i there a way to stop the feston led in the interior light the central bit lighting up ? as it seems to light up even when doors are shut and the headlight switch is not pulled out although its quite dim when you open the doors or pull the headlight switch it gets brighter is this normal or is there something wrong?
I've already fitted all the new bulbs in my car and they all work as normal (but brighter ...cant remember if they are 6, 8 0r 10 led festons), have your tried turning the bulb?
that'll be down to the low current requirement of the LED, they do tend to glow dimly where as a filament lamp doesn't even register. Maybe adding some resistance in parallel would do the trick.

confused - can you explain, I bought replacement led festons and they work perfectly and as I said they are brighter than the std bulbs
Its to do mainly with the circuitry in the multi timer, becuase LED's require such little current (and therefore power) to light, even the slightest bit of current leakage will cause them to glow dimly, however a filamant lamp would not glow at all on the same tiny current.
If you add some resistors into the equation, this would prevent the tiny current leakage allowing the led to light up.

the kerb lights don't have any delay stuff though do they, they're an old fashion switch, (the door switch) which is either two contacts touching or two contacts separated by 3mm of air gap, no current can leak across 3mm air gap
