Just received a ducting kit, its really good...2 alloy funnels, clips, 1m 70mm alumminium ducting all for less then £15 inc p+p. a pipercross one no less!
Funnels alone are worth £9 each, so well pleased.
I have decided to get a six foot length of flexible heating ducting (£5) as I dont want to drill the bumper and I can use the opening already cut.
1m isnt long enough and too rigid, would restrict me when removing and fitting bumper + drilling an unnecessary hole
hahahaha bumper is off tomorrow as I have all the parts etc, will take pics then lol cant remember who said about using vent hose, but I just picked up an 8' (not 6') length for £5(trade price) from electrical shop.
So will use metal trunking and one funnel inside engine bay through an enlarged access hole and aimed at filter, then flexi from inside the wing to bumper, otherside of air-con condenser finished off with funnel.
Will leave the three pipe mode as is, this will be a great mod and should feel the difference straightaway
hey, I felt guilty for not taking pics when I did the radiator as I thought it all went really well

You have NO idea how many times I've planned to do a how-to guide, had the camera ready and then done the job without taking a single picture... I seem to go into autopilot and do it without even considering the pictures...
My electric rear window conversion guide is a perfect example! I actually did the full conversion, then realised I needed pictures for the how-to, so un-did the conversion to take pictures of it!
did the roof bars on mine only got 2-3 pics oopppsss
you're bad lol
I'm quite excited about this project, now all the bits have arrived and it wont cost an arm and a leg, so I will be taking loads of pics.
What I am hoping for is an improvement which logicaly I should see.
As cold air will be travelling down the 70mm ducting - directly on to the filter at the same speed as I am travelling, I have to make sure everything is secure and that the domestic trunking designed for a clothes drier will take the pressure - I am thinking hard about that.
