Default Random deadlock question

Just a quick one really,

I use my car for lots of small trips and so rinse remote batteries,
It'd be nice to know if I could make the car lock and deadlock in one press on the fob?

Would be more convenient especially as the second time I press it the remote doesn't always decide it wants to work!

Cheers

Yeah perhaps a relay or something, something that when activated sends a double pulse or something?

Personally think you'd be best leaving the locking circuit alone. The alarm (if fitted) activates on the first lock, and I think you'd possibly interfere with it if you changed the pulse circuit.

All I can recommend is good brand batteries that should hopefully last a tad longer. If your only leaving the car for a couple of mins at a time, and its generally in sight one lock is enough, as it will arm the alarm anyway.

Deadlocks are good, but if someone really wants your car they'll just smash a window, or completely bypass the whole locking system and short it so it unlocks anyway. When that happens, it'll make absolutely no odds whatsoever so really isn't worth it.

Ah thats fair enough buddy!

I'm actually looking at selling the car now, with all bar the coilovers and xenons on it, which are for sale on ebay at the moment!

Reason being i've stumbled across a couple of cheap cars for the time being, which are far far less to run and insure, so short term it makes sense!
