I share your pain with the gear knob lol I had an absolute nightmare with my last one after I got a mate to set about it with a hacksaw lol.

Yes I have a big shinny one now that lights up blue at night, also added a leather centre arm-rest cover. Reckon the centre piece will look really good when finished, waiting on leather hand-brake, gear stalk gaiters and the richbrook chrome gear surround.
