Default Traction control fitting (on a 2.6 Vectra)

I had assumed it would be a 5 minute job, but after looking at this, I think otherwise.

Really want a switch fitted, but b0ll0cks if I'm going through all that!

feel free to bob on round if you like Matt. You can fit this aux belt for me too while you're at it lol.

Instructions I have to work with so far (Got them from Terry on VVOC) are:

Quote:
2 16mm bolts removes the torque mount and 3 more removes the bracket. The bit you'll struggle with is the lower engine mount. This needs removing as the belt runs round it. A 16mm under the subframe and 3 15mm bolts into from the mount bou you need to support the engine
For a novice like me- Im going to struggle. Prob be out there all day tomorrow lol.

just put a jack under the sub frame and also undo the torque mount as well makes the engine move down a little giving slightly better access

I swear I replied to this! lol.

Fitting TC is easier than it looks. Its really not that much work mate. Having done the fan belt, this is a piece of pie.

yeh maybe not 'hard' to do.. but looks like a bit of a long-winded process, that's what is puting me off m8.

I used the exact same how-to Tom. The TC mod is a doddle, believe it or not! I fitted mine in about 45 minutes, that included sorting the wiring, removing the kick panel and the radio etc., just make sure you follow the how-to exactly. I can understand your trepidation, it does look a bit daunting but just break it down section by section and you're good to go!
