im having problems getting into second gear, its better once the car has warmed up, is this a normal thing or do i have a problem? thanks for any help

its a vectra b 2.2 sri 150 on an 02 plate and it just done 50,000 miles

hmmmm oddd for that low mileage be a good idea to check the fluid level it may be low

Your problem with 2nd gear might be because the cable linkages are in need of adjustment. Have you recently messed with the gear shaft (like to replace a gearknob or anything)?

Also check the fluid level. In fairness, I doubt its even ever had an oil change, and it does degrade over time. Fresh oil would be a good idea.

The F23 gearbox is a getrag version on your car, and in fairness is pretty tough from my experience. The likelihood of it being a internal gearbox problem is fairly low.
