 my vectra has just been serviced, diesel filter, air filter new oli etc, but now
turbo not kicking any ideas? engine management light is staying on and seems to be using a lot of oil

Possible hole in the inter-cooler causing lack or total loss of the turbo, You need to check the inter-cooler pipes

Yep^ Try cheking the Oil coolant pipes from the bottom of the turbo it will have a compressed straw look. Mine cracked like a lot of others on the seams. It will lose oil in a fine spray that way, Its hard to notice unless you put it under pressure. Also have a look at the Actuator vac pipe's mate if one is loose it will be slugish.
