I have sent my car to the garage today thinking the head gasket has gone but they have checked the engine today and said the turbo has gone. Would a turbo cuase the car to contaminate oil + coolent and to smoke loads?
yes as neil said oil will be going through the engine and if the turbo is watercooled which i think it will be then this could cause oil to get into the water
I think its more than turbo if its in the water.
The only way oil will get from the turbo into the water is through the exhaust manifold and then into the engine then through seals/gaskets?? Not a chance IMO
Tell me if am wrong but I have seen quite a bit of the inside of this engine in the past.
