FOR YELLOW PLUG
M.I.D DISPLAY
WIPER STALK WITH BUTTONS TO CONTROL M.I.D
CONNECTOR PLUG FOR STALK IF YOURS IS NOT WIRED FOR IT (PLUG MAKES IT EASIER TO REMOVE STALK AT ANY TIME
FULLY WIRED YELLOW PLUG ( IF YOURS IS ONLY HALF WIRED AS MINE WAS )
A FEW LENGTHS OF WIRE
first of all , you need to remove steering cowling, air-vents ,light switch and speedo cluster
(i believe there is a how to on here somewhere)
once you have your speedo assembly removed , you then need to remove the yellow shroud on your display plug this is done by cutting the small cable tie and then simply pulling it off
i then got the fully wired plug and removed the wires i needed to add ( i used a stanley knife to cut the plastic on the fully wired plug to keep the connectors intact )
you need to add the following wires to the following pins on your existing plug to trick the display into thinking that everything is ok
pin 13 Brown/Green Oil Level sensor needs to be Ground
pin 15 black/yellow brake lamp switch sensor needs to be ground
pin 16 black needs + 12v i wired this to pin 1 which is 12v battery
pin 17 green/white head/tail lamps sensor needs to be ground
pin 19 red/yellow brake lamp fail sensor needs to be ground
pin 20 brown blue coolant level sensor needs to be ground
pin 26 brown/yellow washer fluid sensor needs to be ground
the following wires need to be added to wire to the connector for stalk
Pin 21 R.Button (Brown/White ) - connect to wiper stalk extra plug. (White wire)
you will need to extend this wire to reach
Pin 22 F.Button (Brown/Red) - connect to wiper stalk extra plug. (Red wire)
you will need to extend this wire to reach
the last wire at plug needs to be earthed i believe its brown
and the following wires need to added to enable the fuel functions etc
Pin 6 engine speed (green wire) - connect to rpm signal at instrument cluster. (Green Wire)
you will need to extend this wire to reach
Pin 24 Fuel Level (Blue/Black) - connect to Fuel Level at instrument
cluster (Blue/Black wire)
you will need to extend this wire to reach
Pin 25 Fuel Signal (Brown/Black) - Connect to injector signal at
ecu. (Brown/Black)
you will need to extend this wire to reach
and thats it , it sounds hard but once you get started it all seems to make sense, dont forget (YOU MUST NOT PUT YOUR KEYS ANYWHERE NEAR IGNITION WHILST STRIPPED)
