Hi,
I am currently stripping and rebuilding my veccy, hope the upload works.
1st pic: raise car and removed wheels & front valance, lights & wiring.

2nd pic: Just to show the amount of oil leaking from the engine around the transmission unit.

3rd pic: This is a quick snapshot of engine head you can clearly see the sad state of the engine in this one.

4th pic: Subframe out

5th pic: Engine out ready to be stripped down & cleaned.

6th pic: Engine block & head refitted, new pistons & new rings & head gasket

7th pic: Finally with the sump fitted.

This is as far as it goe's at the moment I have got to fit the cams in and set the timing up. Then the next job will tackle the transmission unit (maybe Subframe first) will post more pics when I have them if anyone is interested,

Its coming along nicely that is. So what happened to the engine then?

It's the original engine apart from the head, decided to give it a good clean up due to the muck building up.
All have checked or either renewed.

where was the oil leak from? looks mahusive that leak!

have you had the block shot blasted there, or cleaned with elbow grease? looks good

Cleaned engine with degreaser and a bit of elbow, oil leak from a few places, engine has now got a complete gasket set fitted top & bottom.

It's going ok at the moment, I have posted a few more pic's on the other thread rebuild vec pics 2.
Might be able to start work on the transmission this weekend with a bit of luck.
