Well a small update (About time I suppose!).... I did it a couple of days ago now, but been so busy I just havent had time to upload pics etc..

So I got most of the engine bay back together now, and took some pics. I decided against fitting the rocker covers as I will be fitting them to the 3.2 when I get around to purchasing one, so I got the plenums back on - I still need to fit the rear plenum clips, but essentially they are in place. Also I need to finish routing the vacuum cables (help post in gen chat coming shortly! ), and then I might just remove the coil plug connector and try and turn the engine over. I need to also flush and then fill and bleed the coolant/brake hydraulics as well.

So some pics; engine bay is looking much more complete now.

The engine dont look quite right without the rockers fitted, but there is absolutely no point risking damage to them when I'll be changing the engine at some point in the future. Who knows, I might just have to strip it all down again if something doesnt work, so if that happens I'll likely fit them.

You know where it is if you wanna come and admire Tom!!

A small update:

Yesterday I came across a bargain for £5 So today I decided to clean it and then get it fitted.

As it was originally off of a 2.0 CDX, I had to modify it to clear the front plenums. Though fortunately I very quickly realised it snapped along the section I needed to remove to fit it.. So some hack sawing, then lots of sanding smooth later here is the finished results:

Sorry for the poor quality, the camera was dead, so I used my mobile instead, but didnt clean the lense beforehand so its slightly fuzzy... But you get the idea. I'm still debating whether to add the usual stickers to it (which were knackered and therefore removed!), or whether to add something custom... Though I'm thinking ST200 on the cover as well as the plenums is slightly overkill!!

The keen among you will also notice something else... Yes, the washer jet lost in a battle against an out of control trailer.... And thus broke... So I need a not so cheap replacement washer jet, not to mention paintwork to the front bumper (which needed doing anyway!). Oh the joys!!

Hopefully it will be booked in for its bodywork in the new year, before which I'm hoping to finally get it running, replace the cambelt and get it taxed and MOT'd. There is still masses to do though!!

I havent really used any breakers until literally the other day when I went with a mate to get some FTO bits.

The scrappy is Spriggy's.. Its near the ford dealership, up from Sainsbury's. They have about 5+ vecs in at the mo, including one I've been robbing for bits, as well as a Omega Elite. I got a few more bits today.

Bless, though remember your getting the 2nd drive of it after me... And believe me when I say your the only one person besides me or Donna who will ever get to drive this car! Its the least I can do when you've done so much to help me mate.

No worries on the logbook Andy, its kinda hard to do when your offshore!!

After todays finds, I can now also add Cruise control and an auto dimming rear view mirror to the mix as well.
