Got the front caliper replaced now, the braided hoses have been fitted, the front suspension replaced and the driveshafts has also been replaced as the inner CV was totally bolloxed!
We also fitted the twin slash this morning, after sorting a new bracket out for it yesterday. So the car is now back on all 4 shoes, and pretty much everything under the car is pretty much now sorted.
So some pics, shes looking better now, and more like a car!
why put **** brakes on it mate? thought u was gonna have a st200??
I put them on for now, as phase one of the rebuild is to get it running again, then I will be worrying about the extras. I have every ST200 item except for Koni's, APs, and Speedlines.
I'm not going to bother with the Koni suspension, the Irmscher will be good enough. Also, your talking 2k to get the brakes, and then the wheels. With me now not having a job, its a lot of readies to use when the car can do without for now.
Besides, I havent decided whether to get genuine APs, Porsche hybrid calipers, Willwoods or some Alcons yet. Then in order to use any of those, I'd need 17/18" rims, of which only Speedlines or Compomotive MO's would do. Its a question of cost, I had the parts lying around, and it cost nothing to do it this way. I've plenty of time once shes running to do these things
By all means give me £2.5K Matt and I'll go buy them now!
if this is an st200 where is all the goodies dude ?

The car is coming along slowly. We've still loads to do, and I really must sort out the issue with the front bumper allignment, and fit all these extra's Donna purchased! I'm happy with the progress so far considering I'm spending 8+ hours a day unable to do much due to my back.
Depending on what your wanting doing, I'm sure I could help you out some way. Or better still, stay with your car, and I'll teach you how to do it.
mint project mate ive been following it over on vv oc its come a long way in such a short time
Its not been as smooth a progress as I'd have liked to be honest, but things are going slowly, and its coming together nicely in most respects.
Donna has been a monumentally massive help in it though. The car wouldn't even be at half of what it is now if it wasn't for her chipping in as much as me, if not more! We still have a long, long way to go, but its beginning to look like a car now, and ironically the ST is looking more like the 200 did with every part we rob from it!
Our compressor and impact wrench has also been working overtime! It makes life so much easier with mechanical stuff under the car.
