The top, front and rear plenums wont be fitted until after the cambelt has been changed, as I'll also be fitting the 'A' cams Andy very also kindly supplied with the car. The rocker covers also need changing, and will be done at the same time as we have some yellow ones for those too.

So anyway, update time:

Sorted the boot first thing: All the problem was, was a simple rod that had come undone, so connected it, and then it worked a treat! Was an absolute arse crawling in the boot in my condition though!!!

Got the stereo system installed today, had to do some modifying of the cage vs. plastic stereo surround, run all the amp wiring, took loads of interior panels out, and then re-fit it all afterwards. Its all running a treat now. Then hooved the inside, and fitted my Vauxhall mats. Its just the LEDs to do inside now, and replace the glovebox as I've scratched it when it slid against some other plastic trims - I have an immaculate spare though, so I'll do that when I do the LEDs.

I also removed the rear boot spoiler from the ST, and then made some more bolts the right size and then re-fitted that and also re-wired the light unit as well.

Then I removed the cracked scuttle panel, the wipers and a few other things around that area and replaced them all. So now my wipers are the same matt black all over, and no white corrosion anywhere!

No real pics today, was too busy getting on with things, but a couple before the spoiler and one once fitted.

Tom, this pic is for you - Check them out!

So update of todays work...

We replaced the rear bumper, and while we had the rear on stands, we cleaned the discs up, adjusted the handbrake and replaced both rear calipers and pads. We also replaced the rear irmscher suspension off of the ST, and then fitted the ST wheels on the rear.

Then up it went onto stands on the front, the front suspension was changed, discs cleaned, the passenger caliper replaced, pads cleaned and refitted and greased, and then finished mounting the track rod ends. Just need to replace the driveshaft tomorrow now, and then the front is nearly done.

Also, while the car was up on stands at the front we fitted the downpipes and centre section, then started work on removing the snapped stud from the back box... Not before blowing up the backbox with a massive bang and blue flames... Something combustable was inside the silencer and we ignited it welding a nut on the ****ed stud to try and remove it!! We ran out of time in the end, but a good days progress has been made, and things are looking up and better now!

So the pics:

Before bumper/suspension/wheels:

After the bumper had been replaced, along with suspension and wheels.

So happy with todays work... But a lot is still yet to come!!

Sounds like the stud removal was eventful. LOL

Considering the pain you're in, you are putting us to shame mate...... or is it Donna being slave driven all weekend?
