well i thought i'd start my own project thread on here as i did some mods today and hopefully there will be BIG changes over the winter months,
most of you know the spec of the engine so i won't bore you with that again but with my turbo being oil cooled i really needed a better oil cooler, it has a oil to water cooler as standard but an oil to air cooler was really needed so I got everything sorted today and made a start.

Firstly I needed a way to get under the car as its low i couldn't get my jack to a suitable jacking point without alot of messing round with axel stands, so I made my own set of ramps and it turned out great, so i'll be treating the wood and keeping them lol, here they are



and here is all the bit i collected to do the job,



got it all done apart from fill it with oil lol as i ran out of time, so will do that tomorrow and take some finished pics of everything.

To be honest having GLS badges is half the fun... Who expects a turbo powered gls?? lol!

i dunno the pipes are rated at a stupidly high pressure, and no-one will see them, but as it stands there are 4 joins so if one starts leaking then i will get some braided hoses made up for it.

I don't think the badges give me a stealth look lol, i will hopefully be putting vxr badges there but i'm in no rush for that.

a couple of pics after finishing this morning,



I have just used some metal my dad had lying round to make the brackets so there are bolts everywhere lol, so I will get one made up when i get chance now i have the cooler central.
