Default ST500 mini resto / repair / dechav!

First up this is not a long resto job like my GSi thread as to be honest there are less problems with this car....

The problems are as follows-

Chav bonnet
Chav bonnet & wing extensions
Poorly fitted Xenon facelift lights
Bodge made up grill
Copy facelift front bumper
Driver side front corner cash damage thats been bodged

Other than the list above the car is very clean and rust free:party: having only done 80k from new and stored for a few years must of helped stop any rust.

I was told about this car by ST Ben and so went for a look, now if i'm honest i did not like what i found. the front end was just a mess but seeing as i was in the trade for many years and that the rest of the car was sound a deal was struck and the car saved from a back street industrial estate in war torn Nottingham (very bad area to leave a car). I was told by the garage owner to shift the car before the yobs started shifting it in bits!

Anyway it looked like this-

Not my cup of tea:lips:

One day later it now looks like this- (thanks for ya help Ben).

Its now very easy to see the damage that was caused when the car was only a six years old.

The price of brand new Irmy front bumper, drivers wing, pair of lights, pair of indys, bonnet, bumper rail and grill made the car a cat c as the cost of then fitting and painting all that lot would be very high at a main dealer.

But if you look at the other photos you can see the main support sections of inner wing and turret have not been touched, so its just cometic and bumper support.

So the crash must of been pretty light as otherwise the inner winf leg would of shifted. The plan is either buy a repair section for the bumper rail mount or cut the section from another dead Vectra.

This little project could be done in a week but due to many other things on the go it will end up running into a month.
