please no more sub forums ........... the main forum looks so cluttered already with sub-forums its VERY confusing as it is.
if anything they need to be hidden and it look more simple
i like what uve done with the main area to make it stand out in red
maybe you could change the colour of the main forums to something brighter (not red) than the sub forums ?
after speaking to a few people on the forum alot of people just click new posts and dont ventrue back to the main page due to getting lost and it being complicated.
not everyone is as web compliant as some of us.
ive also heard alot of "the site takes ages to load thats why i dont post much" - personally i dont have this problem but ive been told this by a few members. (passing on members comments not complaining)
just passing on some site feedback mate
// back on topic........

Thanks for the feedback. Yes- the other forums (Main forums) are going to be turned into a colour also. But I'm working out trying to code it so that if your using the blue style- they will appear blue, and if you're using the green style- they'll appear green... Bare with me.

Then instead of sitting in the dark- Why can these people not come forward, and use the suggestions & feedback section? That's what it's here for. I don't see these problems, as I'm on a 20MB connection, and using Firefox- So without anyone coming forward with this info- I can't 'fix' it.
Re the sub forums- I'll happily get rid of a lot of the non-car related ones... But- Please remember... a lot of them have only been added at member requests.
Anyway appreciate the feedback Ben... even if it did need to go through you before reaching me
I'll have a look see what I can do.

Me too, but tbh- I do this on just about any forum I am an ACTIVE member of- simply because I've read just about EVERY thread made.
Regarding page load times- From my server stats- average page-load time is only 0.052 seconds.
So- Pretty damn quick.
Was looking at browser stats, and 54% of people are using Internet ****splorer, and only 34% are using Firefox- Those using Firefox will be noticing a fairly decent page load time, and those using IE may be getting a slower load.
So.. Step 1- Get a decent web browser. Netscape, Firefox, anything really- apart from IE, or Google Chrome (Which IS getting better, but yet to be mastered).
However, having said that- I can't expect people to change to something new, so- I'm going to spend a few days working on the DEFAULT forum style (The same as what VVOC uses).
When done- I'll make it available to all.
Those who are not happy with the speed of the site can use the default style- which will for sure speed their browsing experience up considerably.
Only other thing I could do- Is move the site to a dedicated server- But who's going to help cover the minimum costs of £150per month?

in no rush mate the red really makes the difference in the top of the forum makes it nice and easy to read ...

some people feel like there complaing ... other thing is people know how much hard work you put into the site to make it look as good as it does and dont want you to feel like there moaning.
other thing is im in contact with a good majority of the members via fone / msn daily so i hear from them there thoughts about the forum in normal everyday convosations with out them feeling like there moaning or complaining, they dont ask for the information to be passed on i just do...

as for the sub forums what i mean is can it not be so where for example the reginal forums are all in a big list it just be "reginal forums"

Another quicky (maybe) or it might be me being a bit thick? or my pc...
Im using firefox (not tried it on others) but when I click on 'my garage' on the right hand side under the stats, is it ment to be my own garage or the person it refers to? ie, if i click on yours (Tom) I get my own?

Was waiting for someone to come forward and ask this
It's a new mod I'm working on- Only started it last night, but there's a bug I'm trying to fix.
Fingers crossed- It should be fixed today, and the link will be to that persons garage.
Ie.. You click 'My garage' in MY post- and it'l take you to MY garage.
If you click 'My garage' in YOUR posts- It'll take you to YOUR garage.
