Default acer laptop problem

last night my laptop froze left it for a couple of hours still froze

well unplugged it and removed the battery in the end as nothing worked on it turned it on and got

for atheros ar8121/ar8113 pcie ethernet controller v1.0.0.4(2008/01/13)

client mac addr 0 a0 ab dd f8 check cable connection!

pxe-mof: exiting intel pxe rom. operating system not found.

any ideas

That is random. Sounds like its not detecting your hard disk for some reason!

Could you do the following for me please:

Turn on your laptop
Log into BIOS
Head to SATA devices (or the section that shows them)
Select the hard disk and then tell me if it recognises your hard disk.

I'm thinking your hard disk has either failed, or maybe corrupted for reason.

now its even stranger its working ive done the memory diagnostic full avast scan full windows defender scan full spyware scan moved pictures to the d drive updated everthing turned it off 3 times and its booted up fine every time really odd it was fire fox that froze and wouldnt let me do anything ???????????????????

Did it do a chkdisk routine when it started up?

Sounds like the problem has corrected itself so I wouldn't worry.

my warranty runs out in 4 weeks so thinking would it be worth sending it in just incase?

If its working they won't find a problem. It was probably just a sector issue, caused by the laptop crashing and hashing up the sectors on the hard disk.

Its likely ran chkdsk without you realising and thus now works fine.
