As far as I remember- comodo is a firewall? You can't scan with it.

Unless of course they have changed the structure of their software and turned it into an all-in-one protection center? (In which case I have no idea).

Comodo do several free products, anti-virus being one.

I'd imagine that you'd go into Comodo's settings, and then select a boot scan and reboot. You might also be able to select it to boot scan everytime upon start up as well, aslong as you dont mind the slower startup time caused by it doing the boot scan.

I find Comodo to be very good, and I highly rate there Anti-virus and Firewall products. They however come at a cost (no not price!), they can be tricky to setup and maintain, and warn you alot - So not for those that want a set and forget installation.

Avast is as good... Be prepared for it to vocally tell you when its updated though!! I crapped myself the first time it did it and "Virus database has been updated" came through my speakers at 100 decibel!!
