I've just bought my current mouse as my old one f*cked up.. It's a Microsoft Comfort Optical (WIRED THIS TIME!) 3000, and so far it's great.

However I was told that I could have bought a Logitech G5 for similar money. I wish I did now as they're supposed to be one of the best you can by for gaming, and to me it looks like it'd be OK for my everyday tasks as well.

Monitor:

Sorry what resolution are you running Lee?
Each screen runs at 1680x1050 pixels. I cant stand a resolution any lower to be honest. Even my 15.4" widescreen has the same resolution of 1680x1050 pixels. Anything less is toooooooo BIG!!

I have heard they are very good... But as much as my mouse is subject to homophobic abuse, its the most comfortable mouse I've ever used... It makes my Logitech cordless laser (which is a very comfy mouse!) feel, well very weird to use... LOL...

Especially the whole moving the mouse around malarky... I mean come on, whats all that about??? LOOOOL

Nice solution that, but a little high for me also. I have a 22" dell which swivels through 90 degrees, great for document reading and the base is raised about three inches so I can slide my keyboard underneath when I'm doing paperwork etc. I also have a Logitech G15 keyboard and aG9 mouse. If you are after a seriously good piece of kit you can't beat the G9... interchangeable weights, loads of settings for the buttons, macros, two shells to change the physical shape of the mouse too. It's a corded rodent, didn't think I'd like it affter years of wireless mouse abuse but the cord is low frction and there's about half a mile of it lol. A couple of reviews for you:

Those G9's look a little bit funky... Not that it means much coming from a guy who uses a Logitech trackball.

I'm not sure I could use one of those and be comfortable with it really, but you dont know unless you try!

As for the LCDs, I initially thought they were too low, but now they feel just right, and they are completely relaxing to use... Plus I can use the scanner on the printer without having to worry about clearance issues.

So over all, I'm extremely happy.
