Forum update

As part of a massive updates to the forum I’ve been planning, the following has been changed:

1. Scrapyard section; Crusher sub-forums have been removed from the forum index. They’re not needed, and help to freshen up the forum index which is rather long these days!
2. ‘All other car chat’ section has been removed from the forum, and the ‘In Car Entertainment’ and ‘Cleaning & Detailing’ sections have been relocated to the ‘VVON’ section of the forum under ‘Car Chat’
3. ‘Vauxhall Chat’ has now been renamed ‘Car chat’. This forum is now for ALL car related chat. Vauxhall specific questions are now to be placed in the respective ‘Technical’ sections.
4. The “group discounts” forum has been added to the “Classified” section, which is viewable for Elite members only.
5. The “Main Sales Section” forum has now been removed, as with the other sales sub-forums it wasn’t really needed.
6. As you may already have noticed Sky Insurance are now on the forum, offering excellent car insurance packages for our members. Information about Sky Insurance, and how to contact them can be found in the ‘Sponsor’s and traders section’.
7. The classified section is undergoing final work before being launched as well. More information to follow shortly in a separate announcement.
8. Various usergroup settings and permissions have been tweeked in-line with the forum changes.
9. Loads of page updates, corrections, removal and checks. All current membership pages have been updated to reflect new names. Other FAQ pages have also be updated.

Other updates include the removal of the “Platinum Verified” user membership, and the creation of a new membership package entitled “Elite” membership. More details to follow regarding this shortly, in a separate announcement.

In brief, Platinum verified pending members with current subscriptions have been moved to Elite Pending membership. Platinum Verified 1-3 star members with current active memberships have been moved across to Elite ** memberships for the duration of the remaining membership period. Platinum members are not affected by these changes.

Platinum memberships remain a one off cost, with lifetime membership. Elite membership is an annually renewable membership system like the previous “verified” membership.

In line with the changes to the forum, and the changes to membership packages (still being finalised), the forum rules have also changed. As such, I would recommend you re-read the forum rules when you have a few minutes.
