i have a corsa 1.4i auto and today i decided to change the positive lead from battery to altenator and starter motor.After putting new one on and trying it all i am getting is the dash lights on thats it the engine wont turn over and there is no clicking coming from starter motor.DOES anyone have any ideas plz.

did you clean the starter motor contacts with a wire brush? the voltage drop across such a high current terminal can be massive.

I'd agree with the above.

Also, check there is voltage at the starter motor as well. If there isn't a big fuse will likely have blown.

might sound daft but have you check the thin wire to the ignition it is a 10mm or just a push on
