Exclamation Anyone else working the holidays (PC)?

As above anyone else working the holidays (political correctness) the 25th this year we had a letter from the head office stating that we are open 9am - 4pm on the 25th applies to all employee's and due too a number of complaints from staff in the company the word christmas cannot be used as it is racially offensive to certain people the term I belive is no**er's so I have to get up at 7am xmas day drive from leeds to warrington then back again so there goes my xmas thank you too the weak minded offical from our goverment who doesn't have the b*lls to say this is our tradition and one we respect and so should you as we respect your traditions but no too weak to stand up for it and were to soft/weak to do anything about it I think that in the next few years christmas day will no longer exsist in this country even the world as political correctness goes mad what's next easter because it offends people with big ears an buck teeth what about st.patricks day will that be next because it offends small ginger people what about st georges day its no longer celebrated as well it offends everybody except those proud to be british/english well Rant over lol

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Good old political correctness.

Just as a FYI to those (I'm sure you know) but 27th and 2nd are bank holidays as well, as both xmas day and new years fall on weekends this time around.

matt-m i can only sympathize - we were given the option of what we wanted to work over xmas and i plummed for xmas eve... however i'm now working xmas eve, xmas day, a few in between. I've also been "given" a 17.5 hour shift on new years eve that will run a third into new years day! happy f***ing holidays! yet the boss will have 24,25,26,27 off. I don't mind but the missus and the kids ARE NOT happy.

It takes the BEEP bud I'm not impressed there expecting me to work in leeds and warrington then want me to work back in warrington which means 3 sets of average speed road works which means a 2 hour journey home and back in at 8am boxing day so set of at 6am whoooaaaaa rock an roll I know the country struggles for jobs at the min but this type of stuff takes the BEEP

I've a number of things to be doing on here over the holidays anyway, so I guess you could say I'm doing something. Not sure whether not being paid to do it makes it a good or bad thing though! lol.
