decided the cdx needs some tlc so ripped out the standard headunit put a alpine one in and some 6x9s in the back shelf and a sub in the boot and then found a switch i bought for the blue vec so decided to install it dont know what to hook it up too yet?

I fitted an additional alarm switch (which was free ) even so I still haven't decided what to use it for - a start button sound cool ASTOBBS

The switch isn't good. Enough for a start switch it will melt. LoL

You could use a relay (I'm sure ASTOBBS will advise further) to use it as a starter button.

There isn't any requirement to run high amperage starter feeds or anything. It should be fine as well, but I'd imagine wiring via a relay would be the safest option.
