Hi,

finally got to the bottom of the sudden power lost and grating noise....

hadn't changed the oil/filter in a few years so everything was glazed up thus when I put sudden load I had sticking dampers, luckily no harm done and that was sorted 3 months ago.

Case of me looking at a complicated problem forgetting the basics...

Did change the secondary air circulation pump and now I can hear it when I first start the car from cold...only a few secs so that was also failing

A guy I was chatting to at Flatpaneltv turned out to be a Veccy 3.0 guy and he suggested turbo diesel oil when I next change oil which will be in 6 months max.

Yesterday I uprated the injectors- different spread to the std 2.5's, leads from 7mm to 10mm and coil-pack on from Courtenay, drive is shall we say better.

After MOT next month will be uprating the cat-back system and having a totally new exhaust designed and hand made by an Australian in Cardiff who really knows his stuff..down-pipes, sport-cat and twin rear boxes as my current system dia is too narrow.

Oh and have returned to the Bosh Super 4's.

Did under rate what the drive is like hehehe let's say I need to be less heavy on the throttle when starting off as I'll be going through tyres like there's no tomorrow as there's performance gains throughout the range and I can easily red-line it through out the gears...lovely sound.

I used to own a V6 Cossy and was talking to a mate at Boss Tuning in Derby.
I have the 3.8bar FPR from the 2.6 veccy and although it gets rid of the known V6 flatspots its not really suitable for std fit injectors (blue) as it can cause flooding, jerky tickover etc.

Cut a long story short I was sent 6 Cosworth injectors, a five minute fit once the plenums, electrics, fuel pipes are off as its only 5 bolts and 6 stainless clips. never changed these on a veccy before lol

No ECU errors, a noticeable instant one turn start and no hesitation...think once you've driven the same car for a while you know what's different.

One thing, on tickover my MID/HID was showing consumption 0.3 now its 0.2
