Default Today is the day...

Come this evening, the Saab will be going, and I'm going to be car-less!

Oh the pain!! I was sorting the documents out last night, and noticed its only done 3,489 miles since its last MOT on June 30th 2009! lol. So at least someone gets to benefit from all the work its had done this year.

So, its public transport from tomorrow!! lol. grr!

With the mileage I'm now doing, I'm seriously considering replacing it with a Lancer Evolution later on. We'll see... Though, I do have 4 cars on my mind: The Lancer, a newage Impreza STi, Astra VXR, or a Vectra VXR. If I'm only doing 2-3,000 miles a year now, I might as well get something stupidly fast and fun!

I'm not purchasing another one yet though. House comes first, and I really need the cash to finish getting everything ready for when we move a week tomorrow.

I want to try and give it 12 months, and save in the meantime, but I'm not sure I can manage that long! LOL.

We'll see... From tomorrow its buses, trains (that'll be fun, I don't 'do' trains) and some walking!

Well, if anything is to go by today, I might have it a tad longer...

I'm waiting on a call tomorrow afternoon now... I had it ready to be dropped off as well, but the finance company neglected to tell me they won't accept responsibility for it until its collected by another department of the company... No way was I leaving it in some seedy industrial estate to be abused by little ferrets of the anti-social variety!

Major bummer, as I used every last drop of diesel out of it as well, so had to put some more in to get home! LOL.

Don't underestimate public transport. It's not crap like people say.

It's far worse!

Stop tempting me Matt!!

If the Saab goes, I won't be replacing it. Truth be told I'm struggling to pay for it, as I've now been unable to work/find a suitable job for nearly a year now. I'm trying to be realistic, with tax, mot and insurance, and RAC all due in June, and with us moving into our new house a week today I just can't cover it all. If it stays it'll likely be on the driveway for a couple of months anyway. lol. I could do with the cash back, and the savings from not paying out for a car for a while. I can't do both, I just don't have the money unfortunately.

Its in the hands of the finance company. Until I met with them yesterday they were happy to let me return it and do a deal, but when I went to drop it off they told me they wouldnt be able to take responsibility for it until there other department or something collectd it as they're just admin staff and don't deal with cars themselves.

Hence why I took it home. I'm waiting on a phone call later this afternoon from the branch manager, and my decision will be made then. I just wasn't prepared to accept any liability for it once its not in my hands, and I don't have the keys or logbook.
