Default Detailing the Vectra on sunday

Since my Saturday is all planned out already.. I've decided to details the vec on Sunday.

Been and bought a new clay bar kit, lamb wool wash mitt, some white spirit (To get the tar off the wheels), some megs wheel cleaner, and AG Bodywork shampoo today.

Already got everything else I need.

So hopefully all going well- I'll have a load of pics to post up here on Sunday evening (Weather permitting!)

Well.. due to all this.. I never detailed the car today.. I never even washed it. Seems pointless really.

However while I had the 2 front wheels off, I treated them to a good clean with Wonderwheels (Great stuff!).

The fronts were absolutely disgusting:

Just brush it on using the brush provided:

Rinse, and bob's your uncle:

Then I thought it were about time I got rid of this sticky **** (Been meaning to do it for ages now!).. sorry.. took this pic before using WW on them:

So I got the white spirit on it, left to soak for 10 minutes, the scraped it off carefully using a flat headed screwdriver:

I then rubbed it down using warm soapy water and 12 grit wet & dry sandpaper, then finished it off using 1500 grit wet & dry paper.

Smooth as a babies ass, and a pretty decent finish too (Will upload some pics of them finished tomorrow as forgot to get after pics.

I've left them in the garage over night. Tomorrow I'll clay, polish, then wax them to give them a bit of protection.

Took me about 3hrs just to do these 2 wheels!
