Default Head unit wiring help

Fitting some ICE in a friends Subaru impreza 2006 plate (Sony Head unit)...

Bought the ISO adaptor... Subaru->Sony, and fits/ works great.. but after turning off the ignition/ removing the key, the head unit resets (Doesn't remember settings).

Which colour wire is the memory one? And where does it connect to?

Its the same with certain Alfa Romeo's, they have two permanent lives, and no ignition live at all. So they wont turn on and off from the ignition unless you wire in an ignition live feed.

Subaru by the sounds of things only had two ignition lives, rather than a constant live for the memory. People often moan about VAG/GMs wiring woes, but its most simpler to resolve than other cars are!!

The thing that got me was- He bought the Sony-> Subaru ISO Harness, so really, I should not of had to join any wires by hacking into his harness.. Bit pointless buying it really.

When I fitted it in mine with the VX->Sony ISO adapter it was plug & go.
