Default A question of weight vs M.P.G ?

After a couple of weeks of talks with vader about a suitable car for her for work and home stuff she has bought a 206cc for home and were now looking at a corsa B 1.5td now this is the question

If we bought a corsa td and removed the interior inc headlining door cards carpet sound deading spare wheel radio speakers passenger door mirror passenger part of the dash replace seats with aftermarket seats and after market steering wheel.

Outside change bumpers for plastic/fiberglass if lighter remove door mouldings and all badges rear wiper and motor removed aerial removed change to single wiper. Then change bonnet for carbonfibre or fiberglass/plastic. Would alos change from steel to alloy wheels if they prove lighter and adjust the the side wall to smaller for less rolling resisance would it be worth doing/trying.

Any ideas?

Its great vader is on nights for the next month and a bit ill be going work when she comes in and she will be going work when I get in oh well plus side tv to myself might start on the car port this weekend and go look at a corsa 1.5td. That needs some work well cleaning and stripping lol got 3 weeks to sort one before van goes at least I get to keep my derv card. Now to buy an adjustable boost valve ready to do the pump mod on the td see what happens lol
