Default Going to be back in a Vauxhall soon.

Yep, had enough of public transport, so going to find a Vauxhall.

I was going to get a miggy estate, but insurance quotes are coming back at obscene prices, so had a rethink.

I did initially consider a Vectra estate, but having given it some thought I decided against it purely because I've owned so many Vectra's over the years, and messed with them so much I'd feel like anything I did I'd already done and it would be boring!

So now, I've decided to go for an Astra estate, MK4 model. I owned a 1.6 8v club estate years and years ago (R208 GVA - I wrote it off!), but I quite liked it.

So I'm going to go for a 1.6 16v this time. I missed out on one by only a few mins last night on the bay as well! grr!.

My first mod, a trip computer! haha.... I'm looking forward to the unknowns of modding and tweeking an Astra.... The engine is staying well alone, maybe just an air filter, and definitely a genuine Irmscher rear twin oval, but other than that, and cosmetic engine bits I'm not modding it. I'm going to go to town on the exterior and interior though.

Expect many a how-to guide for the Mk4 Astra to follow very soon!

I have a couple that have caught my eye, and I'm also going to look at a 1.8 16v CDX estate as well. Insurance is slightly more, but I'm trying to keep my options open. lol.

We'll see, I'm really not too bothered about performance this time around. I'm much more interested in cosmetics these days.

I'm looking for something running, with MOT this time. I don't mind taxing it, but I'd much rather just drive it home. lol.

Cheers Matt. I didn't see them last night. lol.

I'm looking for a 1.6 16v auto (CD model), or a 1.8 16v CDX estate. I would prefer the auto though, as its much easier for me to drive these days!

Once you narrow it down to being a 1.6 16v auto, CD spec you really don't have many for sale! lol.

Im considering this: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...=STRK:MEWAX:IT
