after 4 years my vec has just died
gear box fells like its going to jump out of the engine bay
no gerars my new clutch on fire

so going to brake her if anybody wants any parts give me a shout

tbh ste it sounds like a dodgy mount if the box is shifting in the cradle that could cause gear selection and clutch slip

tbh mate the head gasket is going so unless i can get an engine and box for £100-£150 i might just brake it

You could get them for around that, but the clutch/slave cylinder replacement, along with a full service, cambelt/water pump would break your budget alone. Too much risk not doing them in my opinion really.
