Nope, not now buddy. I spoke a few times with them, but unfortunately I didn't have one of the fire safety qualifications required. They're keeping me in touch with any new posts though!

I'm hoping to start studying towards my MCSA and CCNA qualifications very shortly though, so its unlikely that for now I will be. Thats going to kill roughly the next 5-6 months til I've sat all the exams.

To be honest I don't think Donna realised the severe issues Afgan has mate. lol. Least I think thats the case as I'm still alive right now!

heading out in late june/early July and home Jan!

Hopefully you'll get the chance to give it a go some time, it's an experiance I think everyone should have. Puts alot of things in perspective.

We'll see, maybe I'll get a very well paid IT job out there once qualified.

I'm not so concerned about the location really, but I did grow up in a military family, so I'm no stranger to military equipment and firearms/pyrotechnics.

The tax free salary has my interest too! lol.

Funnily enough watching Ross Kemps latest stint out there gives a real insight into things. It takes seeing it in person to really appreciate it though.
