Found this via the Fast Car mag website...

A crew of illegal street racers shut down a whole New York interstate, so they could take to the road to race.


The racers used their own vehicles for a road block, and then took to the I-95 freeway as they turned it into their own private drag strip.
During which public road users were left queuing for miles in traffic, which they believed was due to an accident.


After 30 minutes the roads were again clear, as drivers passed through the scene oblivious to what had happened earlier.

The only evidence left from the incident was a few tyre marks, some rubbish, and the above video called ‘We Run This Town’ that was uploaded by street race crew ‘Out Of Sight Productions’.

Pretty cool stuff... some wicked rides- But I don't condone it in any way, shape, or form....

The legal cruise in Florida is cracking, the old town on a frid and sat night basically is one big cruise. i loved every minute of it. and will be going again next year.

as for this, i don't agree with it but at least they didn't race in between normal cars so they get some respect for it.
why not just use one of the MANNNNY race tracks i never know

That's true mate... Unlike some that go on in the UK, which I am shocked at.. they endanger innocent people's lives.

At least these guys go about it in a more respectful way.

As for not using tracks.. I do kind of see why they do it on the streets- the buzz. 8-10years ago I would have loved to be doing things like this.. simply for the buzz of it.

Nowadays, it all seems a little juvenile to me.. although that doesn't stop me being absolutely fascinated by some of their awesome cars. Some of the sounds from these cars is immense, and gets me hard lol
