Not on mine it doesn't. The omega mirror I have actually polarises, as can be seen when you cover the sensor and put a bright light source behind it in daytime. It darkens gradually, which wouldn't happen if it had to clunk glass about

Wrong again m8, the exsting block attached to the windscreen will take the mirror no problems and does not need to be touched. The fitment on the actual mirror has two "wings" that need to be reomved but this is a very esay procedure

I think it's a cracking mod, and yes there is a bit of wiring to do, exactly how much depends on how factory you want it to be. if you only wan the mirror to dip, you only need to deal with two or three wires, if you want the full hit then you have to be prepared to get yur hands dirty a little

But deffo worth it.
