Default Cold air feed

I'm THINKING about mounting my cold air feed in the front bottom grill.

Problem is- it's an Irmy one and scared in case I bugger it up when cutting the hole.

Has anyone done this before, and what should I use to cut the hole, to make sure I get it right first time?

Can't remember off the top of my head, but I'm sure the inlet for the feed is 70mm (My Viper was from an Impreza).

i got ride of all the 3 pipe mob crap etc and just put one big one from the box to the bottom of the grill, I would not cut a hole in the underside grill Tom will only ruin it and i don't like it when there is a trumphet sticking out, You will get just as much air in there if you left it behind the grill,

Put it this way it will make no difference to your induction to the engine and you will not notice a difference in the engine performance anyway.

keep it tidy

Would have thought a trumpet would be right up your street neil, or up summat, pmsl!

Anyhow, neil is correct, the trumpet is not required all the time, you can poke a few holes round the rim of the tube and cable-tie it to the grille, the other option is to bung the trumpet on and sell the trumpet with the grille should you want to move it on m8.

Either way, with or without the trumpet your car will breathe better, so get it done TODAY!!!!!!

Cheers chaps..

I did have the cold air feed running straight from the viper to behind the bottom grill- But took it off when I had my car in bits last. Due to the sexy sound of the viper with the feed removed- I left it off for a while, but now my cars running better than it has been in the last 6 months- I'm going to put it back on.

I just thought it would look tidier with it built into the lower grill.

Only doubts I'm having is that I don't want to screw up my irmy grill as they aren't cheap to replace.

I'm now in 2 minds as to doing it or not.. I'll give it some thought over the next week.

And if you do it the way matt has said, you can always then go on to the trumpet.... but not vice versa...

BTW, don't ask me to do it for you... not particularly sensitive when it comes to hacking bits off cars.. (ask Phil)
