Default V6 sri problems

my mate has a 2.5 v6 SRI, that last week used more water than is in the irish sea!!

there is no loss of power

no damp floor inside

no sign's of a leak

no puddles when left running

the last 2 days its held its water

hes been told the head gasket is on its way, can anyone help ?

have you checked the dip stick and oil filler cap for mayo ?

doubt its gaskets then cus it would either leak into the engine all our onto the engine where you could see it.

mines been using loads of water got told it was summit to do with the hot weather and cooling engine down
(dont know if true)
poss using air con but i have to fill my water thingy up about 3-4 times a week

i would be incline to say that there is a crack in a head gasket on one of the banks between the water jacket and a cylinder this is why you are not seeing anything on the floor and there is no mayo on the dipstick it is basically leaking into a cylinder and being burnt with the fuel and not mixing with the oil as for the weather part heating up and cooling down (it' good but it's not quite right go on that dude of catchphrase)

they sometimes leak in between the cylinder heads between the plenums and the heat of the engine evaporates the water therefor no water on floor just a possibilty

Thumbs down v6 water loss

hi my car is losing water and i was told its from the water pump,sometimes its ok for days and sometimes i fill it up nearly every day.once i have replaced the cam belt kit and water pump it should stop losing water???
