Hmm it's a tricky one for me now as I never realised the moonland grey was a hatch.

BUT- After having owner 2 saloons now- I would probably have a hatch, just for the sake of having an easier accessible boot.

Still prefer the LOOKS of the saloon though.

Main problem I'd be faced with if I were you would be-
  • The GSI is a bloody old car now.
  • SRi isn't as old.
Tough one.. so Personally- If it was my choice- I'd leave them both alone, and hold out for a 2.6GSI saloon.

BUT- If you must buy one of them- I'd go for the SRi.

Sorry that's a damn long reply, but I see your not faced with an easy decision.

hang on for a grey gsi if you can, i paid £3800 for mine in september 08 but had the following...

FSH all mots, bills car pass etc
1 yrs tax
cambelt done 6k ago
serviced
2 new tyres
12 months mot
still has 3 keys!
2 previous owners
mint bodywork
engine is sweet!!
irmscher sill plates all round
irmscher handbrake
irmscher fuel flap
irmscher clear side repeaters

they also have the added bonus of being one of 500 2.6 gsi's and only one of thirteen grey gsi's ever made in the vec b range!! may be alot for some to pay but i was prepared to do that as the car is mint and in mint running order. Tbh you could more than likely get one cheaper now than what i paid but there was no way i was letting my one get away!! it even has a pukka reg no at the start!! VX 02 ***!!!
