first time ive ever done it while owing a car feed up with it costing a fortune to run and the exhaust sounding like it is farting all the time due to the flexi being shot the air bag light coming on even after tech 2 switched it off and carnt find a problem ?
the rust is starting to annoy me as is the front splitter which catches on everthing and ive not even lowered it yet , there is a squeak from the n/s front shocker only over speed bumps? the thrust bearing has started making a noise it needs another new tyre cambelt needs changing and full service needs doing hand brake needs sorting needs to be tighter ,
all in all its a great car with a lot of power for 160 thou and has never let me down but its time to 3.0l it or fix up an sell or sell as is as its not worth much either way .......
its a hard decision, but ultimately one only you can make!
I have 3 cars just now, and hate the thought of parting with any of them. I have the advert all written up for one of them, but scared to post it.
If you can keep it without it being a burder on you then do, but remember it will only depreciate in value. The other thing is do you really wanna spend alot of money on a conversion on a car that you dont know if you want any more?
If you intend ding cambelt etc just do that to a 3ltr and put that in, as for the airbag light, remove it, chances are in a car of it's age it wouldn't work anyway.

ive already got both cambelts for the 3.ol and the 2.5 as it would be worth more if i sold the 3.ol i have sat in the shed to fund my new project
tbh for the price your asking i wouldnt bother, and 3.0 it id you like the car
V plate v6 with half the milage (well 86k on) black in very very very good condition , more toys as stnadard, years ticket, recent full service is yours for 1k!

oh well tbh i dont really care i could strip some bits and scrap it and sell the 3.ol probably the best bet then or sell it on the steet some one would buy it
your right there matt might strip the bits return to standard and sell for 450 with tax on and service it and leave the cambelt as its not due for another 9000 miles
