 vauxhall zafira 1.6 sump drain plug problems?
I'm trying to undo the sump plug on my sons zafira 1.6. i've just snapped the correct size tool, as the bolt is very tight. Should I buy another Bit and try again or can someone offer any advice on how to remove the offending item. Thanks JW

rather than risk breaking more tools or possibly having to replace the sump if sump plug strips threads or any other damage have the oil sucked out through the dip stick tube ive seen quite a few of these sumps suffer with this problem good luck with it

another trick that SOMETIMES works is to wait til the oil is warm as it then acts like a lubricant, whilst its warm crack the nut off but DO NOT unscrew fully as the oil will be hotter than the sump feels. once cracked off leave for about 20 mins to cool down then unscrew as normal. I have used this method in the past and it has worked fine. other wise its a case of having sucked through the dipstick as carschrissex has said above.
