Default my vauxhall astra 1600 8v club 2001 keeps cutting out when idling and then

will not start up again ....? for at least 10 mins. The car has just been in for a full service and the garage said that they had rectified the problem by fitting a new fuel pump relay sensor.gonna take it back to garage tomorrow.the weird thing is the car runs perfectly smoothly and plenty of power until the car stops to idle, and if im stopped long enough ie 2-5 mins or so...........just cuts out!! Im quickly losing confidence in the car because i will always worry that it will cut out at anytime especially when i am driving on some remote road somewhere......any ideas please?
fan is working ok and is cutting in when it should....temp gauge is reading normal.im guessing its something to do with fuel relay sensor? car drives perfect..not erratic....just wil not idle for more than 5 mins, then will not start for 5-10 mins....and then everything seems normal until you idle again
.

Check your fuel pump relay wiring. they might be a loose connection> Hope this helps!

Hi ya, in my experience all vauxhalls rely heaviliy on a clean induction system and have done since the VX4/90 days I would not expect you to know what a 4/90 is but you get my drift. make sure the air filter is clean initially and then go right through the induction system checking and re checking everything and you might stumble upon something that is not quite correct it is difficult to diagnose things like this without seeing the vehicle but you may have some joy with the checks I have suggested. good luck.

Check that the water temperature sensor is working properly and also that the electric fan is coming on.It sounds like it may be getting too hot and stalling
