Gearbox from a 2lt XE 16 valve Vauxhall astra

...Will it fit a 2lt X20 XEV EcoTec engine?

I`m converting an 2lt Eco Tec engine into a rear wheel drive kit car (via a Ford type 9 gearbox), the rear wheel drive conversion bell housing is designed to fit a XE 16 valve engine, so that's why i`m asking.
